Never in a million years would I thought that I would come to love St. Patrick’s Day as much as I do, but between Jax finally coming home from the hospital and Ethan’s love of all things Leprechauns I love St. Patrick’s Day! It’s become a new fun holiday that we all look forward to celebrating. We started checking out St. Patrick’s Day books at the library before Valentines Day!
As always the kids wanted to build a Leprechaun Trap. This year I let Ethan make it, so that it was more his trap and not mine.
The kids were so excited, especially Ethan! That night he got up at 10pm thinking it was morning.
Sadly, they did not catch the Leprechaun but he did leave a few fun surprises for them. Including chocolate coins.
They loved the Rainbow Jar, with Rolo’s at the bottom and skittles on top.
The Leprechaun knocked some of our decorations, down, dyed the potty water, and the milk!
They enjoyed Ethan’s favorite cereal Lucky Charm’s with Green Milk, and the day was off to a very green start.
It was hard having St. Patrick’s Day so close to Easter, as I had Leprechauns and four leaf clovers sitting in with my bunnies, but it was a great day and I am glad we took the time to celebrate. I won’t lie though I was happy to dump the last little bit of green milk, I was sick of everything being green!
