On a random whim we decided to go to Ocean City a few weekends ago. I packed the bags late Friday and we left early Saturday morning. It was a whirlwind trip, but a great one! I was once again reminded of how much I love Ocean City. If only I didn’t have to work and could find a way to live there all summer….sigh I have so many dreams:)
The boys of course LOVED it!
We took Jeremy, Nicole, and Baby Lucas with us, and it was great getting a chance to spend some quality time with them.
It was a bit chilly, but that didn’t stop the kids from playing. It was super nice being able to relax in the chairs and watch the kids play for a while.
Ethan is obsessed with Seashells. I am going to get a book before we go again so that he can start a collection and know which shells are what. He was very into knowing who lived in which shells.
Jax loves the sand and sat there for a long time building and digging, then Daddy jumped in and they built a sand castle.
After naps we headed down to the Boardwalk. Within the first 15min there we had spent $25 and each child had a stuffed prize from the games.
We tortured them by making them walk up the board walk and gorged ourselves on food and then we hit the rides.
I thought this was a neat picture snapped while they went around
Lucas and Jeremy waiting for the big kids to finish their last ride.
A very cute shot of Doan family:) I didn’t even try to get one of my family as the boys don’t stay in one place long enough and if they do it’s certainly not near us.
It’s been really fun watching the boys bond, Lucas gets right in there with my two and it’s only going to get more interesting as they all get older.
Here’s a cute video of the three of them on the boardwalk
Following the boardwalk we went right to dinner and then back home to get the kids down. Everyone went down easily and then the adults played a card game, drank, and caught up. It had been a long time and it was a great evening! The next morning it was too cold to swim, so we packed up and headed out pretty early. It worked out well b/c it gave me time to re group things at home.
This was just a taste of what is to come this summer and I cannot wait!
