Christmas was less than three months ago and after not coming up with anything that Jax really wanted or needed for his birthday we decided to make his gift from us a trip to Medieval Times. We ended up surprising both boys the night of and had an absolute blast at the show!

Jax had never been and Ethan had only been one time for his either 5th or 6th birthday and while Jax had been asking to go, Ethan was more excited when they originally found out we were staying for the show.

We got there early and enjoyed having our picture taken, checking out the gift shops and some of the fun stuff the lobby area has to offer.

Sometimes I think shackles would be a good thing to have in the house… Just kidding…

We decided to get some fun drinks and the kids loved their smoothies in the kings cups!

While you wait they do some mini side shows and it really wasn’t that busy so we found a nice bench and enjoyed watching the King knight a few people.

After the knighting we were sitting there and a group of boys was having a sword fight and the boys were just mesmerized. Mike snuck away and bought the boys swords and shields. They LOVED them!

Jax is into making funny faces right now. Don’t ask…

Once properly armed they joined in the epic battle.

They had the BEST time playing with these kids. It was so fun to watch them having such a good time. I loved that it wasn’t so crowded that they were able to play.

Once seated in our Black and White Knights seating area the show began!
Mike with the Birthday Boy!

And of course me with the Birthday Boy!

And don’t forget Ethan who was so very excited!

Jax wanted to get a picture of me and Mike.

With Flags in Hand the show began!

Our Knight was the Black and White Knight and Mike told Jax he could cheer and scream for him as loud as he wanted. Well Jax is so very animated and the best part of my night was watching him scream, cheer, jump and get so into the jousting! It was one of those nights we will never forget!

Our Knight did great and while he did not win he made it to the second to last battle and a knight from our “side” won, so the kids were pretty excited. My boys are my life and this was a great family night and the best gift we could have ever come up with.
The next day when we asked Jax was his favorite part of the night was, he said”us all being together as a family”
Our hearts melted!! Happy Birthday special boy!
