January is my least favorite month of the year and while this year it seemed busier, I still have been in a funk for most of the month and have been MIA for a while. We haven’t been up to too much, but here are some of the things we that have kept us busy during this very long, seemingly never ending month.
Ethan’s basketball games started, so every Saturday we have the pleasure of watching him play. He’s actually quite good so the games are pretty exciting, and he just loves it, which makes it all that much more fun.

One nice Sunday we headed down to Annapolis and enjoyed walking around downtown and visiting the State House. There was no one there that day and so it was nice walking around by ourselves. Ethan loved learning about the State House and its interesting History.

We of course enjoyed playoff football. While the Redskins burned out, we are excited for the Ravens.

I had the pleasure of watching Lucas for a few days and we had lots of fun playing together.

I even got him to nap! YES go me!!

With the weather being cold and rainy there has been a lot of laying around.

Jax and his “baby gurl” lay around together quite a bit.

Of course Jax and I have enjoyed some nice cuddle time as well, I can’t let the dog have all the love.

Florence is not a fan of winter and enjoys cuddling under blankets with anyone that is sitting.

The boys and I have enjoyed doing fun little things like getting frozen yogurt.

And my personal favorite, Dunkin Donuts. The boys get muffins, Mommy gets coffee and everyone’s happy. We have maybe had a few too many of these trips.

We finally got a touch of snow and boys could not get out there soon enough to enjoy it. I have more pictures from my good camera, but here are a few from my cell.

They loved sledding even though there was a lot of grass.

We actually got a second little clipper that brought a bit more snow two days after the first one, and so my littlest angel, made an angel.

We went for a good run around the neighborhood, nothing like burning off a bit of energy.

Ethan had two school projects that kept us busy, but his white tiger was the most fun to make. I was so proud of how well he did.

We celebrated Lucas 3rd Birthday, which was super fun, though somehow I was jungle gym that afternoon.
If you look at the picture closely there is an extra pair of feet and a stray hand. That would be Ethan who was also hanging on me.

This past weekend we went to the Pet Expo in Timonium and the kids had a blast!! There was dog agility, dock jumping dogs, and their favorite the dog comedy show with 18 little dogs. Like Ethan said “can you imagine all the poop?”

The kids loved petting the animals including a Sugar Glider, which Ethan now wants.

A sheep

And while I don’t have a picture they got to pet an Albino Boa Constrictor as well as other cats and dogs. It really was a super fun afternoon.
Ethan had off Monday and Tuesday of this week and Monday we sort of just hung around after Jax’s gymnastics class.
We built a giant marble maze. Which was no small feat given the crappy instructions.
We played games including two new favorites, 4 corners and keep it up. And the boys made cute little polar bear’s using paper plates and cotton balls.

Tada! they came out adorable!

Yesterday was a much busier, and super fun day. We hit the library and Ethan got his very own library card, which was pretty exciting. From there we headed into Baltimore for Jax’s follow up to his ear tube removal surgery. We got great news that the fat patch took, and the hole is completely healed so we don’t need to go back and there will be no more surgeries! YEA!! Following the appt. we met Daddy for Lunch at this super yummy pizza place.

There were no open tables so we ate at the bar and the kids just loved it! Especially since they had Tom & Jerry cartoons playing above the bar.

Following the rare, but oh so nice lunch with Daddy the boys and I headed to Port Discovery for the rest of the afternoon. Sadly my phone died about 5 min after getting there so this was my only picture.
I have to say we didn’t get there until after lunch and left about 45min before they closed for the day, and it was great! The place was practically empty making it much more enjoyable. We all had a blast!!

The best part of the month, by far, was our getaway weekend to Vegas!! It was awesome!! I will get on that blog post next.

Otherwise we are alive and have survived the never ending month of January. They next month and a half are super busy for us filled with lots of fun things and I will be sure to stay on top of them for you.

Nicole: I love the photos and all you do to keep the boys busy and interested. They are so precious and growing up so fast. Like I said before, it’s almost like being there with you all. You are a terrific Mom. Thanks for sharing.Love to all. XOXOXOXO
